Our Work With Young People

Take a look at some of the work we’ve done with young people and listen to what young people think about us

Over the years the young people supported by Dewis have been fortunate to work with a Young Persons Laureate (Martin Daws), a Hollywood Movie Star (Michael Sheen) and a local film company (Spill Media), and, as a result have been involved in producing:-

• a Poem from which our Mission was evolved
• a Digital Storytelling Project entitled “I could never live without my………”
• a short film which was made to celebrate 30 years of Dewis supporting young people. The film “Dewis Values………..Young People” involved a small group of young people telling of how they came to be accommodated by Dewis and how the support received helped them.
• a short film “Steel Town” about the steelworkers of Port Talbot, the introduction for which was narrated by one of our young people.
