We are currently looking to fill the following vacancies:-

Support Officer (Permanent Contract)

Full-time (35 hours) per week

Salary £23,000 (under review pending increase from 1st April)

 

Due to service development, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual, with at least 2 years’ experience of supporting young people.  You will be accountable for a case load of young people (some with complex needs), that are accommodated within Dewis and deliver housing related support to meet their individual needs.

We deliver trauma-informed, outcome-focussed support and guidance and aim to create a safe and secure environment for the young people we support. As a Support Officer you will:-

  • Forge strong, trusting relationships.
  • Foster independent living skills and tenancy management.
  • Promote active participation within our service and the community.

We are looking for someone who is approachable, flexible and be able to demonstrate a commitment to achieving successful outcomes, including transition and move-on, for the young people we support, in line with our organisational values.  You will also be able to   work positively with our partners, prioritise your workload and work closely with our Outreach and on-site Support Workers, giving appropriate direction when required.

Being on-call on a rota basis is a requirement of the job role and an additional payment is made for this.

Outreach Support Worker (Permanent Contract)

We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals, with at least 1 years’ experience of supporting young people, to join us as a Young Person's Outreach Support Worker delivering trauma-informed, outcome-focussed housing-related support and guidance to the young people accommodated within Dewis.

As a vital member of our Support Team, you will work closely with our Support Officers,  taking direction and working flexibly to provide essential support for our young people; this can involve some occasional onsite, weekend and/or evening work to meet their individual needs.

At Dewis we aim to create a safe and secure environment for the young people we support and, as an Outreach Support Worker, you will:-

  • Forge strong, trusting relationships.

  • Promote active participation within our service and the community
  • Be flexible and approachable
  • Support our On-Call Team as required providing cover or outreach support

Support Worker Staffed Services (Permanent Contract - Shift Work)

Permanent Contracts available ranging from 24hrs to 40hrs per week

Salary: £20,930 pro-rata (under review pending increase from 1st April)

 

We currently have Support Worker opportunities available across our established 24-hour staffed provisions in both Port Talbot and Bridgend. Working a static weekly shift pattern,  we are confident that you will be able to ensure a positive work/life balance whilst making a difference to the lives of the young people we support.

We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals, with at least 1 years’ experience of supporting young people and delivering trauma-informed, outcome-focussed housing related support and guidance. You should also be comfortable working in a lone working environment.

You will work closely with, and take direction from, our Support Officers, delivering support in line with the support plan and creating a safe and secure environment for the young people (some with complex needs)  living within our supported accommodation services. You should be able to demonstrate a commitment to supporting them to build on their strengths to achieve successful outcomes as they strive for independence.

Casual Support Worker

£11.44 per hour

We are always looking to enhance our team of Casual Support Workers, particularly to support our continnually expanding 24hr staffed housing provisions based in both Port Talbot and Bridgend.
