Support Workers (Assistant)

Following on from a recent consultation period we have listened to and captured the views of our current Support Worker team in making significant changes to the rota pattern across our established 24 hour YP provisions in both Port Talbot and Bridgend,  and can now offer weekly shifts in 8 hour blocks in a 4 week rolling rota pattern.

Support Officer

The Support Officer vacancy is a 9am – 5pm full-time permanent role and as with all permanent roles within the organisation has the benefit of:-

  • 27 days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays (pro-rata’d if appropriate)
  • 6% Employer Pension Contribution
  • Confidential Employee Assistance Programme
  • Annual Health & Wellbeing Allowance

The focus of the role is to directly support young people to enable them to manage their tenancy and gain independent living skills. You must be approachable, able to prioritise, manage a caseload and work positively with our partners. You will work across all our services and demonstrate a commitment to achieving successful outcomes including transition and move on for the young people we support in line with our organisational values.  

On-call is a requirement of the job role (for which an allowance is paid in addition to the annual salary).

Casual Support Worker

We are always looking to enhance our team of Casual Support Workers, particularly to support our 24hr staffed housing provisions based in both Port Talbot and Bridgend.

Would you like to share your expertise to support us in making a difference to the lives of young people?

As we enter our next phase of planning, we are keen to recruit additional Trustees to complement and add to the skillset of our Board. We would like to recruit a further 2-3 Trustees to join our Board, one of whom will replace the role of a retiring Trustee with a specific skillset in Business or Finance, which may have been developed within the Third Sector, to take up a Treasurer role as part of our Board of Trustees.

The role is subject to Enhanced DBS and satisfactory references.
